Celebrate Lexington Kids Day

On March 20, 2018

On Saturday, April 28, our communities come together in Virginia Hylton Park for Kid’s Day. All proceeds from the Kid’s Day go to the Nancy K. Perry Children’s Shelter and to the Dickerson Children’s Advocacy Center, two wonderful places that serve our children in emergencies.

To show our thanks, I hope you, your teachers and your students will participate by showcasing their talents. About 20,000 visitors come to this event, which is a wonderful audience for our students. Or, students in your school’s clubs and organizations may be looking for opportunities to volunteer. The Kid’s Day committee could use their help.

The day begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m., and there is no participation fee for Lexington District One employees or students.

You can learn more at lexingtonkidsday.com. You can contact them at 803-356-8554 by telephone or at kidsdayoflexington@hotmail.com by email.

They give so much to help our students. Let’s give back.
